October 15 Meeting
At 7:30 Monday, October 15, 2001, our meeting will be held at Prosser's Piano on 185th and Aurora in north Seattle.
The Program is "Tuning" by Roger Gable.
Roger is going to tune a piano, the whole thing, right in front of us!
By far the most of us get most of our business because we tune.  I doubt anyone has ever looked in the yellow pages for a section called, "Pianos, Regulation."  Tuning gets us in the door, and a good tuning is the basic essential skill we all need to have.  So what makes a good tuning?  What do you concentrate on?  How long should it take?  What stuff do you need, the lates electronic gear, or just a hammer, mutes and good hearing?  What should it sound like when you are done?  These are things Roger will cover at this "Tuning Concert."  And Roger says he can do this in just over an hor!  I'm looking forward to it, and so should you!

Also on tap, the chapter needs to approve this year's budget, so please come and help us get this important piece of business done.  See you there!
